Besides last year’s Christmas Eve with SF1, this is the second time I celebrated Christmas. Carol invited me to join her church mates this year’s Christmas Eve to have caroling at those China students studying at UCSI, Taman Connaught. The time to reach UCSI from my house is actually around 10 minutes. But, I took LRT to Wangsa Maju station to meet Carol first, from Universiti station to Wangsa Maju. Wow! Quite near ya, Carol! Haihz… It’s actually no problem for me for travelling to your place to meet you. I also had a fun time fooling around with her because it was still early when we reached there at 5pm and the gather time was 7pm. So, we had our dinner first at steamboat restaurant. We were the first customers of the shop that day. We laughed madly from the beginning till the end of the steamboat meal.

Then, we fooled around, walking here and there, passing the shops for many times. This is the first time I came to the place. And, I saw a shop with many people queuing up. Carol was so kind to tell me that it was because of new shop. So, many people visited it. I really believed it but when I looked, it’s Sports Toto. -.-! Is Tian Xin really so easy to be cheated???!!! Ha…

Then, around 7pm, we were fetched by church people to Carol’s church first. Wow! So many strangers but I was glad to meet them because they looked kind, funny and friendly. Guess what I met? I met “Chuan Yang”, “Chen Qi” and also “You Tian”! ha… Carol’s church mates look like them. We were all given a Christmas hat, a book of lyrics, and also a glowing stick. Carol was like a kid, playing with the stick. Haihz…

After briefing, we then started our journey to UCSI. Unfortunately, due to the important day of Jesus, there was traffic jam everywhere. Luckily, we still had Carol entertaining us. She kept on playing the glowing stick and it broke! Ha.. the glowing liquid was spread everywhere on her clothes, bag, her hands… She even purposely made it on my clothes, saying it’s nice to be like that! -.-!

We finally reached Connaught around 9pm. We gathered at the opposite of UCSI where my first house there. What a coincidence! Since I moved at Standard 1, I haven’t been there. So nice to see it again but I couldn’t recognize which was mine. The time was flying; we needed to hurry so we started to walk in group to UCSI. On the way to there, we joked, sang, chatted… Carol was still playing with her broken glowing stick and spread it on “You Tian” back and we laughed madly again. He turned over and felt weird. He then changed to follow us instead of having us at his back.

First house, we reached! We started to sing the first song—Feliz Navidad. Oh my! It’s the song which I asked Carol but refused to follow her to sing in the car. And, I was sweating. The chemical was spread on my face too, caused me to feel hotter. I didn’t realize until when I wiped my face with tissue and saw green liquid. Carol!!! First time joining Christians on Christmas Eve, I really gained extra knowledge. Moral stories… =) Then, off we go to another China students’ house. I really felt the joyful atmosphere of Christmas on the way while walking to another destination. We sang Christmas songs all the way and greeted the residents there: “Merry Christmas!”

Finally, our mission was completed around 11.30pm and gathered again at the first place we gathered just now, the last house to visit and greet. After that, we began to play game and exchange presents through lucky draw. Before that, we had a small fruit party and chatted. “You Tian” came and said that he saw me before. Of course, he’s “You Tian” ma.. ^.^ then, very bad, they said me resemble a cartoon character! And, we started our funny game. I was the first to choose my lucky number. No. 2! Then, instead of passing to Carol, I passed to “You Tian”, turning the other side away from Carol (we stood in a big circle). Piteous Carol, she was the last one to choose. Ha… =P

Hmm… after the game, we took our presents…then, photo session…and, the end of the day!

Celebration of Lisan’s 18th birthday

I planned a week ago, estimating the time by minutes..sweat,right?It should be perfectly nice for the plan. I planned to have it at Wendy’s because no one would think of the place where Tian Xin would celebrate her birthday there instead of going Gasoline. I even made a check at Wendy’s before they reached.I was telling many lies today to cover my plan from the birthday girl. But, as the saying goes,”Man proposes, God disposes”. I reached there 10mins later, same to others due to traffic jam. And, while for the guys,I didn’t expect that there’d be hard for them to find parking..I was becoming more nervous..walking here and there to find the nearest route to Wendy’s,carrying my “school bag”, because I wanted to join the birthday girl as fast as I could after passing the cake to them.finally, they reached! I showed them the way and waited the “show” to begin, the show which I had planned and estimated 1 week ago. Then,I didn’t expect that we’re waiting for ppl again. So,they went to have lunch at A&W. ha..really sry to them..I pretended to have ice-cream at mac donald while waiting them to finish their lunch and get ready with the cake. The plan had to change..My brain kept on thinking, seeking for another plan, causing me to accidentally said that I wanted to go A&W(juz realized when the birthday girl told me while I was lining up at Mac donald) for ice-cream…After that, I asked them was it suitable to go now and if it’s ok,then, just light up the candle,I said via sms. But,no reply..So,i sms once again to reconfirm. And, I only realized they’re waiting. The candles were lighted..ha..they needed to blow off the lighted candles while waiting for me.I led the way, hoping to find the way which would pass by A&W to cinema.I was indeed not familiar..but,lucky to say that I successfully did so by walking a longer way. Whew~

Now,we had reached. My eyes were scanning A&W,looking for them. *tink..I saw them sitting at the corner. It’s really hard to notice them unless we walked in A&W. So,I pretended to have 1 more ice-cream there.Weiling they all were really surprised seeing me to do so.But,I had no choice! I needed to act like kid, asking for another ice-cream after having it at Mc Donald.I dragged the birthday girl in. Good act!(ha..self-praise) I was sure she still couldn’t notice them. But,no one was following me in,causing the birthday girl to look around for weiling they all. Aiks..She’d see the surprise I planned. So, at last, I just dragged her towards the cake and the gang who had prepared. And,finally, mission completed! After singing birthday song and waiting her to make wish, the first question from me was “Did it surprise you just now?”. Glad to hear “Yes!”. I thought she had noticed it but indeed she didn’t.

Then, we went for cartoon..3D BOLT..nice show
After that, we continued to Mac Donald to discuss class trip and gathering. Handed her the birthday present I prepared..Just guess what’s that! “Giving her but sincerely don’t want her to have the chance to use it.” I had checked with many whether it’d be hard to guess. Many couldn’t guess it. But,Jensen they all knew it immediately. hm! The answer is “pepper spray”! it’s 2 in 1 ,which means you can use it on your food and also to protect yourself.. ^.^ ha..kidding..It means it contains red color and pepper.

Here’s the end of the celebration! Happy 18th birthday, Li San! =)

Adventurous trip to Genting

8 visitors to Genting

After postponing for months, we finally got the chance to have our Genting trip on 22-23 Dec08, organized by our Mr. Organizer, accompanying by his gang: Mr. Sociable, Mr. Assistant, and also Mr. CM. While for girls, we had Weiling (camera girl), Lisan, Jiaying and me.

Drunk Mr. Organizer

Slightly late as planned, we reached KL Central around 8.30am at McDonald’s. Then, we went to buy bus tickets to Genting. Unfortunately, tickets for morning had all been sold. We could either wait for next round-1pm or take taxi which would cost us up to RM90 per taxi. Luckily we had Mr. Organizer and his assistant, Mr. Assistant to settle this problem and Mr. Sociable to entertain us by playing cold jokes. We were rushing all the time, trying to catch up early bus from other stations. Mr. Organizer felt sorry for that but, indeed we were enjoying. Finally, we all decided to take LRT to Gombak to buy bus tickets for 12pm. To emphasize, my Touch N’ Go really helped me much! =P During our journey to Gombak, our professional camera girl once again, was taking photos of us without our permission. And, we were all kind enough not to take law action on this because we didn’t want to hurt a little girl’s feeling. =P Chatting, discussing New Year party, crapping, telling cold jokes were all what we did during this LRT journey. 30 minutes passed so fast that all of us didn’t realize time passed when we reached Gombak. Our Mr. Organizer and his gang then went to line-up to buy tickets while girls were just sitting. Ha.. Glad to say that we had such gentlemen leading our trip because what they did during this trip was queuing up and girls were just sitting beside and waiting. Hohoho..All were settled around 10am. We had 2 more hours to wait but honestly speaking, I didn’t feel bored for waiting because we had Mr. Sociable there to play cold jokes and a Camera girl who kept on playing with her camera, taking us as models of the photos. =)

Mr. Sociable

12pm sharp, the bus arrived! Led by our Mr. Organizer, we seated; but, just a few seconds, we needed to change seats because…we seated wrong seats! ha..swt..Around 45minutes and “Welcome to Genting!” , as our Mr. Organizer kept on saying. Again, due to peak season, we needed to line up for Skyway. “Maximum 8 people in a cable car”, there stated. But, I think for us, we should separate to 2 cable cars because the guys were so excited on the way. They kept on shouting to other passengers. ha..Luckily we were not blacklisted! ^.^

And, when we reached there, once again, we were walking around because the guys kept on leading us to walk around to tour the famous City of Entertainment- Genting ( they led wrong way)! So funny! And, waited again to check-in hotel but due to our lucky number-775, we needed to wait very long for hundred numbers till our turn so we went to play some outdoor games first and went back to the lobby to wait again because some of us felt more comfortable to sit in the lobby… When waiting for our turn, Mr. Organizer and Mr. Assistant went to “survey” whether there were any bad people around. Such responsible ones.. -.-! while Mr. Sociable taught us the way to bluff (how to play “Bluff”-a card game). In return, I taught him how to play card game which can check how well our brain cell works, fast or slow. He’s the “winner” of the game! *Claps… We laughed madly playing that game or perhaps, I should say that I was the only one who laughed madly because I laughed till my stomach muscle pain. It’s always like that so I just ignored it and kept on fooling with them. Time passed so fast playing such kid’s games. We could finally enter our room. 17120, VIP room. I was staying there! =P

Then, here we go! There’s always a saying, “Girls are slow!” It’s false! Indeed, guys are much slower! You know why? Because they will easily find a chance to act stupidly and time will pass by! =P That’s what the guys did while we girls were ready and waited them. They recognized wrong room of theirs but still continued trying on their room card on wrong room! Ha…

It’s 6pm, if not mistaken, when we really started enjoying theme park like kids. This is especially to our Mr. Sociable whom we could hear his loud yet funny sound everywhere! It was indeed sound pollution, Mr. Sociable. xD Corkscrew, Go-cart, Corkscrew again, Go-cart again… ha..just realized we didn’t play many types because I was too enjoyed of it, maybe. Oh ya, before that, we went playing Spinner and Haunted house which can only scare kids, before check-in. Also, not to forget, after 10pm, we continued to play indoor bumper car and another roller coaster. Piteous Mr. CM while playing bumper car…hee…because everyone was so co-operative this time in banging Mr. CM…

After that, we returned to our rooms because were physically exhausted! But, we continued to play card games till 4am! So bad, I couldn’t laugh so hard because my muscle pain was worsened when playing the card games again. And, I ended up taking Panadol before sleeping. -.-! First time for having it so long! Then, first day of Genting trip had ended!

Nothing much to say for next day because everyone wasn’t feeling well; so, instead of continuing to our next destination when reached KL, we separated for our destination respectively. Guys continued theirs while girls went back home.
Finally, our adventurous trip ended! Thanks to everyone for making it so fun!

My Voice

I’m really fed up with my voice, especially when someone wants me to repeat again because they didn’t hear it clearly or they didn’t even hear a sound.

I usually become nervous during presentation because I always worry whether my voice can reach the listeners. If not loud, I need to increase but it’ll seem to be like shouting. And, of course, it’s not good to shout to your classmates and teacher who are trying their best to listen to you patiently.

During my weekly oral presentation which occurs on Sunday, I’m the one who always is commented as lady-like by my tutor, Mr. Hew. I try to make my voice louder to be stronger but I always end up to be disappointed because he will say:” Tian Xin, please improve it. Make it louder! Your voice sounds too lady-like.” Grr…

Currently, I’m working as a showroom promoter at M.V.. I dare not to greet customers sometimes when they enter the shop while I’m standing at the counter which is 4m far away from them. If I want to ensure they hear it, I need to increase my volume and this may sound like shouting.

Also, sometimes I dare not to tell the customers that we are having sales now when they enter. When I say, “We’re having 20% discount now on all items.” In return, most of them will reply: “Huh?” And, I know I need to repeat again.

Sometimes it happens even in a funny way, just like today. When a customer entered, I said: “ Welcome, we’re having…” I hadn’t finished my words but her greeting had covered my voice. You guess what? She just said Hello and I needed to repeat my words again because she wasn’t able to hear my voice due to her one-word of greeting which had covered one sentence of mine. Swt… I know it because after greeting me, she asked me whether there’s discount.

Another exciting day with Carol..taking my 2nd sem results

Today I went to attend a basic training and an interview at E-Promode, opposite of Pearl Point with Carol. Due to some problems, I wasn’t able to take breakfast. I was late to meet Carol. After meeting her at mid-valley, we took bus to pearl point and started our exciting journey. We attended a talk and basic training on how to become a Brand Ambassador. Sounds good, right? But, indeed, it is just a promoter at supermarkets. It was really boring yet funny. We kept on laughing crazily and joking all the way. Since we didn’t wear white blouse as required, the agents lent us and said it’s compulsory to wear it. The clothes didn’t really suit us because they were too large. I looked funnily with the blouse on. HA.. Although I felt quite pity for wearing that, I still treated it funnily and challenging. We were told that the training, talk and interview would take 3 hours, from 10am till 1pm. But, it kept on delaying. Finally, I couldn’t stand, I was afraid that I’d be late to collect my results at Inti. So, after Carol went for interview, we just left the center, missing out my interview.

We waited for quite long at the bus-stop for U76 (the only bus I know that can go to Inti from Old Klang Road). So, we ended up by taking taxi. The first taxi driver refused to fetch us when he heard Subang Jaya. Then, there came the second one. He nodded his head. I was so happy and we entered it. But then, I only realized that the uncle indeed didn’t hear what I said. He has poor hearing. Even when I shouted, he still couldn’t hear. Carol then shouted too. He finally heard it. Swt..Is my voice really that low? Haihz…too bad, too sad..The uncle was really a funny one but I hate to hear him calling me “dao gei”. He never stopped calling me like this till we reached Inti. Grr..I didn’t hear this term for so long since I left SMK Taman Connaught.

While walking to Inti and to the exam center to collect my results, I was really nervous. I expected it to be A+ (ACC), B+ (MIS) and a C+ (ENG). And, for my GPA would be 3.19 or even below 3.0 as I really did it badly in my English paper, honestly. I was afraid that I would disappoint my parents for failing to pass the grade required by college to continue my scholarship. I dared not to collect my results by myself. I asked Carol to help me to see my results, whether it passed 3.0. I felt relieved when she told me yes.. Whew..At least, I could still continue my scholarship. She added that it’s even much higher than 3.0. She said, “Chou Tian Xin!” ha.. Then, I took a look of my results. I looked at my GPA first before looking the grades because I was afraid to see a C for my English. I got 3.52!!! How come??? I couldn’t believe it and took a look on my grades. This is my results… A (ACC), A- (MIS) and B (ENG). I felt really lucky that I didn’t get a C for my English. I’m saying I’m lucky because I still don’t think I deserve a B for my English which I did not complete the essays. The essays were out of topic and indeed, for the completed one, I just wrote 400 words or even below. So, how could this happen? Miracle? Ha.. Always remember, “The last thing to lose is hope”.

After that, we went for our lunch (my first meal for today) at Carbana. So relaxing to have our lunch or can be said as our dinner because we were having at 5pm. We joked and chatted or indeed, we crapped while waiting the rain to stop. I felt calmed. We left around 6pm and went to mid-valley by bus. It took us 1hour. And, my exciting day with Carol finally ended when we reached KTM station. She needed to go back earlier to prepare for her Undang test tomorrow though she hoped to stay longer..Good luck to her…

My Boss-Sonia

First time I was asked to open the shop in the morning. Everything went well till the moment a box appeared in the computer, saying that the shortcut couldn’t find the link. I needed to choose either to fix it or delete it.I restarted for 3 times, still the same. Finally, I clicked “fix it”.So happy when the software worked but the next moment, I just realized it was the old system. Oh my!I’d replaced the new one.I hadn’t met such situation before when i started the computer days before.I guess Sonia, the manager would think I did it..I felt sorry too for bringing such unknown trouble to her.

I started my working day as usual.Just walking, standing and sitting..
After having lunch with Serena and telling cold jokes, I received a call. I need to go back to help out.

Sonia finally came. This is the 2nd time I saw her. She’s nice, kind and a bit funny(kept on laughing on something which not really funny).Perhaps,my level has upgraded..*claps

Then, first time really having work to do at shop. Sonia brought new stocks. I needed to help her to unwrap and carry things while she’s decorating the shop.

ha..My career idol, Sonia. She’s really kind. But, I dislike her for one thing, the only thing…is she doesn’t care for the environment!!!

She wasted new A4 papers by just putting them under bowls to prevent the table from scratching. She didn’t even make a second thought before doing so. And, I was asked to handle her the papers. I felt like killing life, feeling sorry and sad.

too bad,too sad..irresponsible human being!!!

Why can’t everyone care for the environment before producing unnecessary wastage? I hate seeing plastic…

I hope I could influence others to care for environment as soon as possible…

A Fiasco in My Recent Life

I have never missed an “A” in my English paper in all of the official exams and also the first semester of my college studies. However, I’m going to see a “C” for my English subject in my results slip for the second semester of my college studies. It happened at the moment I sat for my English paper on 1st November 2008 at 5pm. Before 5pm, I still aimed an “A” for my English paper because my coursework marks shows there is a high possibility for me to score my English paper with flying colors. Teacher and classmates also believed that I could do so. But, when the clock stroked at 7pm, I finally announced to myself that it was a fiasco to me. It happened again! It’s still deep in my mind how the word – fiasco was introduced to me by Mr. Hew, my English tutor. He said, if one who has learnt English language for long period but fails to write his own essay, it is a fiasco to him. Since that, I put my effort on upgrading my English writing skills to prove that I have learnt from my mistake. Time passed by, my writing skills have been improved. I can write more fluently than last time. I even can complete my essay in a short time by typing it out, not writing with my own hand. I was really happy with my progress.

Unfortunately, as time goes, I started to rely on keyboard to help me to complete every piece of my essay. I had ignored the importance of writing essay with my own hand since I could easily produce a piece of essay which graded as “good” by my teacher. I didn’t realize something terrible was going to happen on me. I missed the hours of time for me to build up my relationship with my pen. I wasted the time in watching movie to relax my mind because I thought, since I could write fluently for last few months, I should be able to write well in my final exam for my English paper. The only thing I worried was I could not brainstorm.

It was 5pm, I entered the exam hall and chose a suitable seat, which I would not feel either too hot or cold. Then, I opened my question paper, I felt relaxed because it seemed still alright for me. I quickly started to write the introductory part for my first question. While I was writing, I felt happy because I could easily complete my introduction in 15minutes (better than what I expected). But, when I found that I could not write my thesis (no topic was given, just required to include 10points given). Without thesis, I could not continue my first body paragraph and second and third and even conclusion. In order to save time in thinking, I skipped to the 2nd question (5 choose 1). Again, I spent time in choosing topics. I couldn’t brainstorm. I became nervous and it was worse. So, I tried to skip back to the first and tried for my 1st body paragraph. I completed it. It’s 5.45pm. Oh my god! I had just completed 2 paragraphs in 45minutes, I still left 1.15hours. And, I was stuck again! I quickly skip back to 2nd question. I really couldn’t continue the question chosen by me just now so I changed and it took me another 15minutes. I just left 1hour to complete 2 essays. So, I decided to write; write to finish, to make it complete! I crapped indeed. No points! I clearly could feel the paper could produce sound, just as “Empty vessels make the most noise”. It could be considered good if I were taking standard 6. I nearly cried. My brain was empty, totally empty. Hopeless! I left 20 minutes to complete another essay. My brain was totally blank! I couldn’t write anymore.

“Tick, tick, tick…” The time passed. Teacher announced 5minutes left for us to complete. “Too bad, too sad!” , I used to say so. This time I really need to use it in this incident because it’s really hopeless for my essay. I still had 3 paragraphs to complete! I couldn’t think anymore! Couldn’t! Not a single word! It was my first time to become so frustrated when writing an essay. I did not understand why! Besides frustration, I had nothing staying in my mind. Finally, I passed up my paper and announced the 2nd fiasco in my English subject. Perhaps, It was a fiasco in my life too. Everyone was so happy because 7pm on that day announced the end of final exam and also the semester. For me, I could only announce a fiasco but nothing! They discussed, I thought! As usual, they asked me regarding the exam. I could only force to put a smile on my face and just shook my head. I told them. They couldn’t believe and though t I had worried too much, thought I was humble. Facing their reaction, I could only talk without words. On the way home, I kept on thinking what’s my problem and I was not willing to drop my valuable tears though I couldn’t stand it. I finally got an answer for that. The main reason is I have been used to write my essays using keyboard instead of my pen. Even at this moment, I’m still using keyboard. I’m sure without it, I really can’t write such a long diary with 1000words. I hope this could be the last writing for me using keyboard to produce my writings. Perhaps, when my English language is much more stable, I will try using this input device--- KEYBOARD again! My advice: “Always use the usual method you’re using unless you have ensured you can have the same performance when using both the new method and old method. It might be slow but as the saying goes, “Slow and steady win the race”.

The days during National Service

I could hardly believe that I really completed this 3 months national service at a lousy place to stay and lousy food to eat. I still remember the moment when I found out I was in the list of National Service for the first batch of 2008. When my friends told me the news, I thought they were just joking. So, I didn’t have much feeling with it but just wanted to have a double-checking. Yes, it’s true! My name was in the list. It was stated there. When I knew, I was looking forward to stay outside for months but also worrying whether how would it be for me to stay with those Malays. However, the most important for me to care was my SPM Examination. It’s really important for me if I want to further my studies. So, I didn’t really care about the National Service at all during my exam.

Months have passed! I finally finished sitting my SPM Examination on 5 December 2007 and left 24 days for me to prepare myself for the 3 months National Service at Lake Chini, Pahang. During these free days, I enjoyed myself and gathered with my friends. I went to Genting Highland, watched movies, etc. with my friends. However, these exciting days passed. Finally, I had to face it! My 3 months training!

That day, I woke up early in the morning and gathered at Bukit Jalil where the buses would depart and send the students to the camps. I went in to my bus and found a seat. Only 5 minutes I sat there and I knew three new friends who were from different high school. It’s fate which brought us together! They were friendly. During the hours in the bus, we chatted, played, joked and ate together. Four hours journey had finally ended! With the exciting feeling, we lined up to let the coach to check our names and things. After finishing the procedure, we were brought by them to our dorm.

First day staying there, I was not willing to eat the food. The vegetable and meat looked disgusting. I was not willing to bath until the minute before I was forced to sleep at 10.30pm. Some of my friends were also same as me. We felt ourselves dirty if we did not bath before going to bed. So, after the gathering, we quickly went to bath. And, we were warned not to do so again. We needed to follow the rules. It was quite difficult for me to change this habit which I had kept it for years. I couldn’t sleep well for the first week for not bathing before sleep.

During the days, many terrible things happened. For example, conflicts, quarrels, and also even gossips happened among teachers and students. I felt like having negative life. This made me to miss SF1! Also, during the days, I kept on creating jokes for people to laugh at. But, indeed, I found a better joker than me, she’s Carol (she simply named herself when the Malays couldn’t pronounced her Chinese name.). I felt lucky to meet such a special and funny friend. She taught me things although she sounded badly (I know, she purposely did so.).

Luckily I was chosen to be in the first batch! While experiencing such a different life, I also enjoyed it actually, especially the day we spent in jungle and also had a night staying there. I hadn’t experienced it before. The scene was so beautiful with the fireflies everywhere and the leaves and trees which were glowing green light! Really missed that! So exciting to be in the jungle!

Months had passed and the days in the training jus left 1 week. We practiced marching for our graduation day. The days were quite tiring but somehow we still enjoyed the left days of working together as a team very much!

Finally, it’s the last day for us! All were so excited, still taking pictures before the ceremony started when we needed to march in and stood there for hours for the speech. In surprise, it ended in 2.30 hours which we were told that it would take 4 hours. Yeah~ We had graduated! At night, we had our last party but indeed it was quite boring…

The next early morning, I woke up early at 5am to take my last bath at Kem Tasik Chini, Pahang. Then, I woke up my friends too to pack things and have our last breakfast. It was normal to find people crying and hugging their friends. And, we sang songs, of course all in Malay, while students were walking to their bus one by one, included Carol and me. We chose a nice seat but with spoilt air-cond. Swt..

And, I announced the end of my “soldier” life…
